Description
A2 Gir Cow Cultured Desi Ghee is prepared with fresh milk from free-grazed, pasture-raised gir cows raised on ECOCERT-certified organic farms. The milk is boiled and cooled to room temperature naturally. It is then inoculated with a traditional starter culture and left overnight to get natural A2 yogurt. The yogurt is churned using the Vedic Bilona method, churning slowly in a clockwise-anticlockwise direction to separate raw white butter during the pre-dawn hours.
Our A2 Gir Cow Cultured Desi Ghee is free from artificial preservatives, additives, synthetic fillers, or binders. 100% natural, farm made in small batches.

In regards to ghee, the term cultured refers to a particular stage in the crafting process. Culturing is the process of inoculating the milk with a natural culture starter to catalyze the fermentation process that transforms the milk into yogurt.
What is A2?
A2 refers to beta Casein protein found in the milk of Zebu cows native to South Asia. A2 cow ghee is prepared using the milk of various Indigenous cow breeds such as Gir, Rathi, Kankrej, Tharpakar, Khillari, and Sahiwal.

THE MAKING OF A2 COW GHEE
The Ghee is made the traditional way - we use fire wood and sun-baked cow dung cake as fuel. It is prepared in Iron Kadhais and is made by hand by farmer folk in our village. We do not make Ghee from direct cream or Malai.

You could instantly recognize the best quality by how viscous the ghee is. Usually all impure ghee gets little hard when you open the tin for the first time. But not in this case, it was nice and grainy and had the float texture. It tasted really good. Highly recommend buying this :)
